About the Due Date...

Det här med BF-datum…

… forget everything you think you know!

"I am one day past my due date and I really don't want to go over time, why doesn't my baby want to come out?"
There is a lot of focus on the precise due date, but the answer is: You have not gone over time. Relax, take it easy, and patiently wait for your baby to soon give a signal for arrival. It would do everyone a favor if the due date was abolished, because the reality is this:

You have a due period of a whole 5 weeks. 5 WEEKS.

The baby's arrival date actually ranges from when you are 37+0 to when you are 41+6.
If you give birth at 37+0, you are on time.
If you give birth at 41+6, you are on time.

Of course, we understand that a due date is set, but beyond the fact that it can be incredibly heavy and tough in the final days before this date, it not only creates stress for the mother but also impatience from everyone around her. As soon as the due date is passed, people start saying that you are "over time," and you often hear from friends and family, "Have you given birth yet?"

But you are not over time when you are 40+1; you have passed your due date, yes, but not over time.

A fun way to commemorate the pregnancy both for yourself and others is to use pregnancy rub-on tattoos. Avoid questions or reveal only what you want to reveal!
