Large Postpartum Pads 3-Pack
Our large postpartum pads help you feel secure when the bleeding is heaviest, but they can be used as long as you need to feel safe. We want you to worry as little as possible when you're at home with your newborn baby.
Whether you give birth vaginally or by cesarean section, you will bleed for 6-8 weeks after delivery. This is called lochia and occurs because the uterus is contracting after your pregnancy. It's common to experience bleeding in various forms during this healing process. Some people bleed more than others, but we recommend everyone to have good, large postpartum pads at home during the initial period. If you've experienced birth injuries or had surgery, you should also have large postpartum pads so you can feel completely secure and focus on healing.
With their super absorbents, our large postpartum pads are equivalent to those you receive at the hospital. They are the same size (44 cm long and 20 cm wide), and all pads have leakage barriers for extra protection. They are, of course, both dermatologically tested and eco-labeled. The pads are soft, comfortable, and body-shaped to fit perfectly against the swollen and tender genital area, allowing you to focus on something other than worrying about leaks.
Bleeding After Delivery
Giving birth is a normal physiological process, but it is also a strain on the body. After giving birth, your body begins to recover and goes through a healing period. The time it takes for the body to heal is individual, but everyone experiences bleeding from the genital area known as lochia. Shortly after the baby is born, the placenta detaches from the uterine wall and begins to be expelled from your body. The wound left by the placenta is similar to a regular open wound you might get anywhere on your body, but it takes a little longer to heal.
Large Postpartum Pads Ideal for Lochia
The bleeding from the vagina diminishes over time. In the first few days, it is usually very heavy, like a heavy period, and then gradually decreases. The most common duration for postpartum bleeding is 6-8 weeks. The bleeding can appear differently depending on where you are in the healing process; it can be pink, red, clumpy, or brown. To avoid worrying about bleeding through, it's good to have large postpartum pads with leakage barriers that keep everything secure.
Soft Postpartum Pads for Sensitive Skin
To avoid worrying about leaking through, you can secure yourself with substantial postpartum pads that ensure nothing goes through. Our maxi postpartum pads are eco-labeled and designed to allow the sensitive skin in the genital area to breathe. Even though the pads allow air through, they do not leak thanks to leakage barriers for extra protection, which also minimize unwanted odors. They are 44 cm long and 20 cm wide.
